Recently, CMP Media launched a new magazine
geared toward C-Level (cool term, eh?) executives - CEO, CIO,
CXO...
The goal of this site was to bring the magazine's
contents to the web while maintaining the print edition's
clean, crisp look.
Functioning as the Art Director on the project,
I met with the editorial staff and hashed out an initial wireframe
mockup. From these mockups, I designed a homepage that would
reflect the high end nature of the publication. An additional
set of subpage designs were derived from this template.
Leading the production team was an exciting
experience, making sure the final html code was pixel perfect
to the Photoshop
mockups.
Result: The total time from launch to finished
product was less than two months, impressive for content oriented
site
of this magnitude.
I personally think that this is a fabulous
magazine and I recommend signing up for a free subscription
(if you qualify) from the site. Guest columnists have included
Arizona Diamondback manager Bob Brenly. The articles and topics
are
relevant
to leaders across all industries. Awards include the American Society of Business
Publication Editors (ASBPE) "Best
